Documentation
Everything you need to go from zero to publishing on every platform.
Quickstart
- Create a workspace. Sign up, name your workspace, set its timezone. The timezone drives every schedule you'll see and set.
- Connect accounts. Under Accounts, connect each TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube identity. Instagram requires a professional (business or creator) account. YouTube connects a channel. Tokens refresh automatically from then on.
- Make a channel. A channel is a brand: pick its accounts, set posting slots (e.g. 09:00 and 17:00), and write caption templates per platform using
{title},{handle}, and{credit}. - Post. Upload a video, confirm the pre-filled captions, pick the cover frame, and choose next slot, an exact time, or post now. Watch each target's status live on the Overview.
Platform notes
TikTok
New accounts publish in draft mode: the video and caption deliver to the account's TikTok inbox and you finish with two taps in the app. TikTok unlocks fully automatic publishing per app through a content audit; when your account qualifies, Crosscast switches automatically and the dashboard reflects it.
Reels only, professional accounts only (Instagram's API rule). Cover frames come from your scrub selection. Instagram limits API publishing to ~50 posts per account per day — far above any sane posting schedule.
YouTube
Vertical videos up to 3 minutes publish as Shorts. The first line of your caption becomes the title. YouTube's API quota allows roughly six uploads per day per connected project — the dashboard warns you before you queue past it.
Automate it
Everything above is also an API. If your videos come out of a pipeline — a render farm, an AI generator, an editing script — wire it directly to Crosscast and use the dashboard as your review surface.
